Belly Dance Drills & Chills w/ Zahara

Burn off those Holiday pounds and warm up during the freezing temps!  Zahara will be teaching an Intermediate level series designed to challenge your layering skills, push your travel moves and improve your balance.  We’ll be moving, Moving, MOVING!!!

Wild Woman

New Moon Women’s Circle

The Kula Center is very pleased to host a series of New Moon Women’s Circles.

Hosted by Natalie Bird

This International Network of Circles are the Heart and Soul of The WILD Woman Project.  We gather each month on the New Moon, in our local communities.  Inspired by a theme (which changes each Moon), we Meditate, Inquire, Share and Create Intentions for the Moon Cycle ahead.  Wild Woman Circles are now being held in eight countries by trained Wild Woman Project facilitators.

What is The Wild Woman Project?

The Wild Woman Project is at once a philosophy (an invigorating approach to life as a wondrous, often messy, creative project) & a growing movement of courageous, creative, heart centered (often weird & wonderful) women on a mission to remember, to reimagine what it means to be a woman – untamed.

BELLY DANCING SPECIALTY CLASSES  AT THE KULA!

Level 2 FUNdamentals Belly Dance

Thursdays, 6-7:00PM ($15/class or $40 for a 4-class pass)

Ideal for students with little or no prior belly dance instruction, this class focuses on posture, dance terminology, and beginner hip and chest isolations. Students should wear flat foot-wear or dance barefoot (no tennis shoes or heels) and clothing that is comfortable (yoga pants and tank tops are ideal). Pre-registration required, so please contact Zahara at 513-515-9695 or zaharastangledweb@gmail.com prior to attending.

Intermediate Belly Dance Drills and Choreography

Thursdays, 7-8:00PM ($15/class, class packages available)

Students should have at least two years of belly dance training before attending. This class focuses on intricate layering and travel techniques that can be used for drills or woven into the choreographies created by Zahara. Beginner Belly Dance  FUNdamentals

Kula

The Kula Center – a brief History

The Kula Center is one of Northern Kentucky’s longest running Yoga Studio, beginning back in the early 1990’s as Elements Yoga Studio.   Over the past fifteen  years the Kula Center has expanded its offerings to include Tai Chi, Belly Dancing, NIA and Ballroom Dancing!

All of our current teachers strive to present interesting and helpful material in a safe an encouraging environment.  We all strive to hon our teaching skills and are in a constant flux of learning ourselves.
